Eyelid Lift

Eyelid lift (also eye lift, eye lid lift, and lid lift) are informal ways of indicating the plastic surgery operation properly known as blepharoplasty.

While modeled after the term facelift and so widely understood to mean cosmetic eye surgery, eyelid lift is a misleading designation.

Blepharoplasty does not "lift" an eyelid but is instead more of a subtractive operation designed to address baggy skin and bulging fat and sometimes reinforce surrounding support structures.

Surgically elevating a droopy upper eyelid is known as a ptosis repair and is a very different operation.
